CAD Overlay ESP is a raster editing system that bridges the gap betweenscanned images of blueprints and microfilm, and workstation-based AutoCADsystems, by allowing the scanned raster image to coexist within theAutoCAD session. This eliminates the need for inaccurate raster-to-vectorconversion and redraw from scratch. The operator simply scans thedrawing, and ESP lets AutoCAD display it. Changes are made directly tothe image using standard AutoCAD commands. Additionally, the operator cancreate a plot that seamlessly contains the changes.
